The Culture and the Volks of Jawa

On our Jawa roundtrip, you are going to explore the beauty of the island which is full of culture through the existence of the popular temples Borobodur and Prambanan. The highlight of this trip is the mystical Dieng Plateau which is located at the height of 2000 m above sea level.

Day 1: Arrival in Yogyakarta
Pick up at the airport of Yogyakarta/Java. Start with your city tour around the city of Yogyakarta the cultural city of Jawa. You are going to visit the Kraton, Sultan Palace of Yogyakarta, and the ruins of Taman Sari water palace. Visiting the old town with its traditional market, batik factory, and silversmith. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Afternoon proceeding to the Hindu temple Prambanan. This is a huge temple complex depicting the Ramayana history. 3 overnights in Yogyakarta - not included. Please, Book your hotel here!

Day 2: Borobodur & Dieng Plateau
After breakfast, we are leaving to the temple Borobodur the world's biggest Buddhist temple with its two smaller temples Candi Mendut and Candi Pawon. Continuing our day trip we pass a lot of rice fields and mountainous views of the Dieng Plateau in central Jawa which belongs to one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. On this Plateau, you can also visit a number of the oldest Hindu temples. Some nice stops will be interesting after a stop in Mehjer Crater Lake the stops in the huge tea plantation on our way back to the hotel. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. 

Day 3: Solo
Early morning leaving to Solo the sister town of Yogyakarta. First, we visit Mankunegaran Sultan Palace in Solo. It is also a museum. The antiquities market in Tri Windu will be interesting to visit. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Proceed further to the east to visit the majestic Hindu temple Sukuh not far away from Solo.


Day 4: Yogyakarta – to the next destination
This day is your time to enjoy the hotel and its vicinity or pool. Afternoon transfers out to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
