The traditional Village in the central Lombok
Masmas Village

We are scheduled to depart at around 8:00 AM and will head eastward from the city of Mataram for approximately one hour.

During our visit to the village of Masmas in Central Lombok, you will have the opportunity to experience the local lifestyle. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed by the headmaster of a local school. You will gain insights into the villagers' way of life and the comprehensive program planned for our stay. Additionally, you will learn how to don a sarong and enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by the students. The itinerary is as follows:

School Visit: This segment allows you to familiarize yourself with the Indonesian school system. We will explore Islamic middle, high, and elementary schools in the area. The educational focus here leans heavily towards Islamic teachings, including Arabic language studies and Quranic lessons. Engage with the students by sharing some English phrases, while they serenade you with Indonesian songs and practice their English skills. Throughout our time in Masmas village, we will be joined by some of these students. As they are beginners in English, be prepared to answer common questions multiple times, such as your name, accommodation details, your country of origin, and the duration of your stay in Lombok.

Village Visit: Our tour includes a stop at the village chief's office. You will receive a detailed explanation of its operations and functions.
