Swimming with whale sharks on the neighboring island.
2 days 1 night
An extraordinary experience: diving alongside whale sharks near Sumbawa Island, situated to the east of Lombok Island.
Day 1: Lombok - Snorkeling on Gili Kenawa in West Sumbawa - Sumbawa Besar.
Departure from the hotel in Senggigi or Kuta is scheduled for around 8 am, following breakfast. The journey heads northeast towards Labuhan Lombok Port, which is approximately a 2-hour drive. From there, we will board the ferry to West Sumbawa. Upon arrival in Sumbawa, we will proceed directly to Labuhan Jambu, a drive of about 3 hours along the northern coast of Sumbawa Besar. The route offers stunning views of mountains and coastline. We expect to reach our destination in Labuhan Jambu, part of Dompu, by late afternoon. An overnight stay at a hotel rated ** or *** is included.
Day 2: Sumbawa Besar - Whale Shark Watching - Lombok.
Rise early for a 3 AM departure to the port, where you'll embark on a traditional fishing boat. The journey to the sea-based observation platform takes approximately two hours from the mainland. Upon arrival, observe the whale sharks from the platform as our local guide feeds them a plentiful supply of small fish. Should the whale sharks be present, you'll have the opportunity to enter the water with your snorkeling gear and experience their harmless nature firsthand. We'll return to the mainland around 8 AM and proceed to the hotel for breakfast. At 11 AM, we'll head back to Lombok and your pre-booked hotel, concluding our journey.
