Day 6: Mount Ijen in East Jawa - Ride to Bali

Departure is set for 04:00 early morning to the Ranger Station. The ascent to Mount Ijen's summit is estimated to take 90 minutes to reach the crater. Kawah Ijen measures 960 meters in length, 600 meters in width, and 200 meters in depth. The crater's surface spans 41 hectares. The unique blue-green hue of Kawah Ijen results from a blend of alum, sulfur, and gypsum. At the crater's southeast boundary, one can observe steaming solfataras with fumaroles emitting temperatures between 190 to 210°C, which deposit sulfur residues up to 8 meters thick. Laborers chip away at these sulfur deposits and transport them using bamboo poles and baskets down the mountain through the valleys. Post visiting Ijen Crater, we will journey back to Banyuwangi and return to the hotel. En route, we will explore a coffee plantation established in 1710. Following hotel checkout, we will board a ferry to Bali and continue to your accommodation in Bali, concluding our program.
