A Day Trip to Mount Bromo

Departure is at 8:00 a.m. from Tembaga Pura Port in Probolinggo. Mount Bromo is a highlight for many travelers on Jawa, one of Indonesia's largest islands. Normally you drive to Mount Bromo early in the morning so that you can enjoy the sunrise from there. However, it is also possible to drive there during the day so that you can simply enjoy the wonderful landscapes. There is still a highlight of this trip waiting for you. But clouds or fog often move over the mountain around midday, meaning you can't see the surrounding landscape quite optimally. You will still experience a very special natural spectacle, namely admiring the active volcano up close and looking into the active crater at the same time. With an off-road vehicle, we drive through the sea of sand and continue with horse riding to the opposite plateau on the stairs that take you further to the crater. On a clear day, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views and picturesque images from the crater rim. Enjoy the morning atmosphere from the volcano and take a look inside the smoky interior before the 2.5-hour return to the ship to Surabaya.

 

PROCEDURE AND PROGRAM:

08:00: Meet and greet by our tour guide at Tembaga Pura Port in Probolinggo.

08:30: Depart for Sukapura villages.

10:00 am: Arrive at Sukapura villages and board the jeep.

10:45 am: Toilet stops and refreshments (coffee or tea).

11:00 am: Continue by jeep to Penanjakan Viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Bromo.

11:40 am: Arrive at The Penanjakan viewpoint.

12:15 p.m.: Drive down to the Sand Sea.

12:30 pm: Walk to Mt Bromo Crater – climb the 245 steps.

1:00 p.m.: Reach the crater rim and enjoy the beautiful panorama.

1:30 p.m.: Return to the parking lot, then take the jeep to the JIWA JAWA HOTEL.

2:00 p.m.: Lunch at JIWA JAWA BROMO.

3:00 p.m.: Return to Probolinggo Pier.

4:30 p.m.: Arrive at the pier.
